I studied graphic design at the university and worked in advertising as an art director in multinational companies e.g. Publicis, Euro RSCG, Bozell Worldwide, and The Coca-Cola Company for 14 years; art-directed numerous of commercial photo shoots and TVCs. Therefore, I see things more from the vantage point of an art director rather than of a conventional photographer. This also means that I pay big attention to not-creating a distinctive style and living in the puddle of it. I'd rather create styles that fit to individual moods and needs of the assignments. What I aim at is not taking pictures, but creating images that communicate. I am good at working with creative concepts and creative teams.
I am also an academic with a PhD in visual semiotics. I have taught in several college and universities design, advertising, and photography related courses.
That been said, I am a Toronto-based portrait, fashion, and advertising photographer. I have work published in printed and online media in Canada, US, and Europe.
In 2015, proudly showcased as one of the selected fashion photographers representing Canada by the Model Management: http://www.modelmanagement.com/close-up-magazine/26/photographers-canada/
