About Me

I studied graphic design at the university and worked in advertising as an art director in multinational companies e.g. Publicis, Euro RSCG, Bozell Worldwide, and The Coca-Cola Company for 14 years; I created work for brands such as Coca-Cola, Nokia, Philips, Mazda, Peugeot, Guerlain, Clarins, and many others. I art-directed plenty of commercial photo shoots and TVCs. Therefore, I see things more from the vantage point of an art director rather than of a conventional photographer. This also means that I pay a big attention to not creating a distinctive style. I'd rather create styles that fit individual moods and needs of the assignments, keeping in mind the golden rule “It’s not about you, it’s about the final product”.  Eventually, what I aim at is not taking pictures, but creating images that communicate. Because of my background and experience, I am good at working with creative themes and creative teams.

I am also an academic with a PhD in visual semiotics. I have taught in several colleges and universities design, advertising, and photography related courses.

Coming from an Italian family that is known for its artists since the renaissance era, I am, (originally from Toronto, Canada) Berlin-based advertising, fashion, and portrait photographer. I have work published in printed and online media in Canada, the USA, and Europe. I shoot/offer Medium Format* photography (Hasselblad and GFX systems) to deliver the best possible quality to my clients.
